In the autumn semester, the 5th year course in the discipline "polyclinic business" provides for the study of 6 topics:

- organizing the provision of primary health care; organization of work of the polyclinic; organization of work of the local therapist;

- examination of temporary disability in the practice of a local therapist;

- ARI and influenza in the practice of a local therapist;

- Covid-19 infection in the practice of a local therapist

- acute tonsillitis (tonsillitis) in the practice of a local therapist;

- community-acquired pneumonia in the practice of a local therapist.

     Training in the cycle "polyclinic business" should contribute to the formation of the following skills in students:

Determine the status of the patient: collect anamnesis, conduct a survey, physical examination of the patient; assess the patient's condition to make a decision on the need to provide him with medical care;

Make a preliminary diagnosis

Determine the amount of additional research in accordance with the prognosis of the disease, to clarify the diagnosis and obtain a reliable result;

select an individual type of assistance for the treatment of the patient in accordance with the situation; formulate a clinical diagnosis; develop a therapeutic action plan;

formulate indications for the chosen method of treatment, substantiate pharmacotherapy in a particular patient, determine the route of administration, regimen and dose of drugs, evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the treatment;

Provide first aid in emergency situations;

· to carry out with the population of the attached area activities for primary and secondary prevention of the most common therapeutic diseases.

     Teaching the discipline "polyclinic" contributes to the formation of the following possessions in students:

Methods of general clinical examination;

Interpretation of the results of laboratory, instrumental diagnostic methods;

An algorithm for a detailed clinical diagnosis;

Algorithm for making a preliminary diagnosis with subsequent referral of the patient to the appropriate specialist doctor;

· the main medical diagnostic and therapeutic measures to provide first aid in emergency and life-threatening conditions.
